Abstract:

The Blue Crab Sanctuary coverage delineates the extent of the Virginia portion of the Chesapeake Bay designated as a marine protected area for the blue crab (Callinectes sapidus). Regulations regarding this sanctuary are administered and enforced by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission (VMRC).

Purpose:

This coverage was created for the purpose of displaying the extent of the Blue Crab sanctuary.
